Failed Train (Non-Passenger)
Controller to ensure the following core actions have been completed:
Location/line/train headcode and time. Establish nature of failure.
Can the train be moved to a sutable location, Goods line or sidings
Confirm driver declaration of a failure, advise FOC, TRC discuss assistance available for the failed train.
Establish if the driver is speaking with FOC maintainance controller and request fitter or Rolling Stock tech (RST) and agree loco details
Confirm that assistance confrence has been placed(TRC to ascertain if any loco’s can be commandeered nearby and holds any nearby service accordingly notifying affected FOC) If loco is identified requst an EPO via the NOC.
Note If no suitable locos nearby York Senior TRC can be contacted 01904718055 and will provide Thunderbird loco driver (based at Newark or Peterborough) as option for assistance
Contact FSDM to assist with identifying alternative loco options – other FOCs or other resource if necessary. FSDM may also be able to assist with diversions and FOC dialogue. If failure is PLPR or UTU contact SCO.
Identify and plan to move any other trapped trains affected
TRC to identify suitable diversionary routes for other trains affected considering any gauge restrictions/possession impacts
TRC to instigate MfSDD by CCIL entry and Tyrell informing affected routes and inform FSDM of the failure and oversee its application on other routes.
MfSDD: Plan to be agreed for services more than 60 mins late with no recovery at destination/on route
Dispatch response staff to site to provide comms, photo’s, videos of issues and supply to FOC if required
If axle/wheelset issue NOC to mobilise BRUFF. Also consider use of EMR re-railing team if available to assist.
Update CCIL and send Tyrell
