Controller to ensure the following core actions have been completed:

Obtain details of :-

The time & date of the incident, Location and who reported the near miss including their contact details

Identify the train involved/Headcode/Unit No

Is the near miss Railway/MOP (Railway staff escalate and treat as a significant incident)

Current method of working

Is the driver/Train fit to continue

Dispatch the MOM & or other response staff as necessary

Advise TOC/FOC

Advise NOC

Inform BTP within 10 minutes - Control have overall responsibility to ensure BTP Emergency number contacted

Ensure chain of care for those involved if necessary

Ensure fence check is carried out by MOM or Off Track

Request FFCCTV

If the near miss was at a level crossing: Ensure MOM carries out initial signage checks

CCIL and issue a Tyrell message & WhatsApp Safety alert
