Check signal box standard opening times and additional opening

Signal box open

Give caller the number or forward call

Signal box closed

Ring signal box to confirm closed

Check for possessions in the area.

Contact PICOP to establish train movements/suspend until crossing is confirmed clear

Obtain requester phone number, Authorise crossing with a call back

Caller doesn’t ring back

Call user and confirm crossing is clear

Use MOM or other to confirm/If unable first service to be cautioned

Caller confirms crossing clear
