Collisions
Controller to ensure the following core actions have been completed:
Exact location/Lines/ time occurred
What is the nature of the collision?
What is involved?
What was the activity at the time of the collision?
Are any vehicles de-railed (how many /are they upright)
Are any dangerous goods involved?
Is anybody injured/extent of injuries
If under OHLE (consider emergency switch off)
Inform TOC/FOC and other relevant parties
Send response staff to site (RIO/BTP /Emergency services/SIO/Pway/S&T)
Establish method of work with signaller
Escalate to LOM//Signal Engineer /Track Engineer
Request OTDR and FFCCTV evidence
Ascertain whether there are any allegations against infrastructure/vehicles or staff
Ask response staff for photographs to aid preservation of evidence
Advise NOC
Update FMS/ CCIL and send a Tyrell message and safety text alert out
